Deacon Julio Matallana

Deacon Matallana and his wife have been active members of St. Mary’s since January of 2003.  Deacon Julio has faithfully served as a deacon, especially throughout the Spanish community, here for the past several years.​

 
Deacon Stan Avallone

Deacon Stan Avallone has been at St. Mary's since 1999.  Calling Philadelphia, PA is hometown, Deacon Stan has been in TX since 1994.  He served in US Navy in submarine fleet,  and prestnely works in industrial water treatment in Houston area. He and his lovely wife Tracy have 3 kids (Tim, Chris and Nicky).  He attended University of Pennsylvania Class of 1981 as well as earning a Masters Degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2012.  He became a Knight of Columbus in the Spring of 2013 and is assigned to Houston Seafarers Center as port chaplain in addition to parish support.


Deacon Greg Bremer
Date of ordination   Feb 2023
Deacon Greg was received into the Catholic Church during the Easter Vigil in 2008. He and his wife Cindy taught EDGE for several years. They also help with Marriage prep. Greg is also a member of the Knights of Columbus. His diaconate journey started in March of 2017 with two years of discernment and then four years of classes at St. Mary’s Seminary. He was ordained as a Deacon on February 17th 2023.
